The beauty of pregnancy? You can really pamper yourself! When you feel good your baby feels good too. Balm for body and spirit: here are 10 tips to pamper yourself during the most exciting months of your life.
1. Start the day well: take care of your body
Here’s a little ritual that promises a great start to the day: in the morning, give yourself some time and massage your belly, thighs, buttocks and breasts with oil. You’ll take care of your skin and at the same time prevent stretch marks. A quality olive oil is ideal. It contains no artificial additives and penetrates deeply. If you don't have olive oil at home or if you don't like it, no problem. You can also use vegetable-based oils for body care. Apply oil immediately after showering, while the skin is still wet.

Dry, blemished skin: one of the changes that happens during pregnancy. Hormonal changes particularly affect the face. For a radiant complexion, you don't need a lot of time. Your daily care should include gel cleanser, toner and a cream for your skin type. Once a week you can make a healing mask. It's easy to create one at home and the ingredients can all be found easily at your nearest Lidl: mash half an avocado with two tablespoons of quark. Apply to the face avoiding the eye area. Rinse after 10 minutes with warm water.
3. For more volume: beautiful hair during pregnancy
In general, during pregnancy you should try and pull on the scalp as little as possible. To wash your hair, baby shampoos with delicate ingredients are perfect. If you want an intensive hair treatment, all the ingredients are in the kitchen. Mix a tablespoon of honey and an egg yolk if you have dry, brittle hair. Wait 15 minutes and rinse with cold water. Linden blossom tea, two or three tea bags in half a litre of water, makes hair shiny in the blink of an eye, even after being applied for just a few minutes.
4. Wellness in the bath: enjoy a moment of relaxation
Just a couple of things to do for relaxing moments during pregnancy: you can enjoy a hot bath with candles on the edge of the tub and your favourite music. During pregnancy, there are no contraindications for baths. If you have heavy legs and suffer from water retention, add some Dead Sea salts to the bath water. A special additive for bathing, not only during pregnancy, is milk. It softens the skin. Add a glass to the bath water, get in the tub and relax. Scents such as lemon balm, vanilla, lemon, rose, sandalwood or hay can be relaxing even in the shower.

Create a corner just for you and your baby at home. It can be a little corner in the future child’s bedroom, a comfortable day bed or a comfortable chair. 6. Short breaks: unplug
Life as a couple, work, home or other children: during pregnancy, daily life can take a lot of effort. Clear your list of things to do. Seek help from other and delegate chores.
