EPISODE 02: WELL-BEING WITH DR JOSEPHINE WORSECK
In the second episode, we tell a story of conscious change and quiet courage. Dr Josephine Worseck's journey shows another, equally powerful side of Why We Try.
In the past, her life followed a set plan with the goal of climbing further and further up the career ladder. Years of studying had mapped out her path, but deep down, something felt unfulfilled. Instead of sticking to her established route, Josephine made a brave decision: she took a new direction. Her turning point was neither loud nor dramatic. It began with a single question: how do I get to where I really want to be? And what do I actually want?
In search of answers, she focused on her own well-being and turned her gaze inward. Through meditation, breathwork, and mindful movement in the cold, she began to reconnect with herself – leaving the noise of the outside world behind to be fully in the moment.
Today, Josephine guides others through this exact experience. Her days begin in silence: outside in the cold, with meditation, gentle yoga, and conscious breathing. From there, the journey continues – dipping into ice water, hiking through snow-covered landscapes, and enjoying the stillness of the mountains.
The cold stays cold. Every single time. But the focus shifts – away from freezing feet and towards a healthy, mindful life. Breath, body, and mind are brought into perfect harmony.
What began as a personal quest for her own purpose is now a mission: to help others find their own path and feel good in their bodies.
Josephine's story shows that the path to fundamental change doesn't have to be long. Sometimes it begins with a quiet but determined step in a new direction. That is what Why We Try is all about.
