Before you start the actual job, you should practise cutting the laminate. Grab your tools, a laminate panel and get started. This will help you get a feel for the force required, the behaviour of the saws, etc.

Schritt-für-Schritt-Anleitung: Laminat schneiden per Stichsäge
Bevor du loslegst, lagere das Laminat für mindestens 48 Stunden in dem Raum, in dem es verlegt werden soll. Dann kann sich das Holz an die Luftfeuchtigkeit anpassen und muss hinterher kaum noch arbeiten. Anschließend gehst du so vor:
Step 1: MeasureMessen ist das A und O, um Laminat korrekt zu verlegen und zu schneiden. Bedenke, dass dein Laminat an den Rändern Dehnungsfugen benötigt und kalkuliere Ausschuss ein. Jede Reihe / Paneel solltest du stets noch einmal kontrollieren, bevor du Schnitte setzt.
Step 2: RecordMark the cutting line on the back of the panel – it's best to use a felt-tip pen so you can still see the line even if there's a lot of dust.
Step 3: PreparationLege das Paneel mit der Oberseite auf einen Tisch oder die Werkbank. Der abzuschneidende Teil sollte überstehen. Um Kratzer auf der Dekorseite zu vermeiden, lege am besten Pappe darunter. Ideal ist eine Werkbank mit einer Aussparung für die Schnittstelle.
Step 4: CutBefestige das Laminat mit Schraubzwingen (Pappe oder Holz dazwischenklemmen, um Schäden am Laminat zu verhindern) oder arbeitet zu zweit, damit das Laminat nicht verrutscht. Schneide langsam und vorsichtig, damit nichts bricht oder ausfranst.
