Italy's Wine Landscape
"Vinum bonum deorum donum." – A good wine is a gift from the gods.
Italy is not only the world's largest wine exporter, but a true wine paradise!
In the north, Piedmont delights with its noble Nebbiolo, a complex and mature masterpiece. A few kilometres away, Friuli-Venezia Giulia offers crisp white wines like Friulano. In the wine heart of Italy, Tuscany, Sangiovese reigns supreme, which we know from Chianti Classico. In Puglia, you can expect fruity, smooth, sun-ripened red wines such as Primitivo and Negroamaro.
The crowning glory is Sicily: elegant Nerello Mascalese and robust Nero D'Avola are produced on Mount Etna.
